Who we are

This site is operated by Zero Hockey, a custom skate blade sharpening and fitting business based at Kauppatie 3, 29250 Nakkila, Finland. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at atte@zero-hockey.com.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• A password, which we store as a bcrypt hash — we never store or can see your plain-text password

When you place a custom order, we store the order details you submit: playing position, boot model and holder, and hollow/radius sharpening preferences. We also keep a record of your order history so you (and we) can look it up later, and so we can flag when you're likely due for a re-sharpening.

When you complete the Edge Check quiz, we store your email, position, skating style, optional pain-point note, and recommended hollow/radius to show you your result and, if you opt in, to send occasional edge-care tips. Checking the marketing consent box is optional and unchecked by default.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in — we don't use cookies for advertising or tracking. Specifically:

• A session cookie that keeps customers signed in to their account (used to show your order history and account details).
• A separate, internal session cookie used only by the Zero Hockey owner to access the order management dashboard. This cookie is not set for regular customer accounts.

Payment information

We do not currently collect any payment information. Online checkout is not live yet — orders placed through the site today are followed up and paid for separately, outside the site itself. This policy will be updated before checkout goes live to describe how payment data is handled.

Who we share data with

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to any third party. Your data is stored in our database and is only accessible to the site's operator.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and order history for as long as your account exists, so we can provide order history, sharpening reminders, and general account features. If you'd like your account and data deleted, contact us and we'll take care of it.

Your rights

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email atte@zero-hockey.com.

Changes to this policy

As the site grows — for example, once online checkout goes live — this policy will be updated to reflect what data we actually collect and how it's used. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever that happens.
